About Us
Dr. Hamza Khan is committed to patient safety and to providing high quality ophthalmology surgery, medical care, and research. He began practicing in Victoria in 2002, and specializes in cataract surgery for visual enhancement and rehabilitation. He currently coaches other physicians on Healthcare Quality Improvement skills as well as patient communications.
Dr. Khan is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine. He has delivered over one hundred invited lectures at national and international conferences. He has also authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, chapters in textbooks on cataract surgery, and is the coeditor of the sole video supported textbook in his field, Surgical Correction of Astigmatism (Springer; 2019).
Dr. Khan completed his B.Sc. (Honours) from the University of Toronto and then attended the University of Western Ontario, receiving an M.D. with Honours. In medicine he was awarded “Most Promising Clinician" and recipient of the Bronze Medal in his graduating class. In ophthalmology he has been awarded the Senior Achievement Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
At Harvard University, Dr. Khan earned his Master of Public Health degree. He focused his studies on Health Care Management, with particular interests in Quality Improvement and Clinical Epidemiology. Upon completing a Residency at the University of Toronto, Dr. Khan specialized in Cornea and Refractive surgery through a fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Dr. Adrienne Duimering provides considerate patient care, ensuring that patients thoroughly understand their treatment. From Victoria, she is happy to have the opportunity to contribute to health care in the community where she was raised.
She completed a B.Sc. at the University of Victoria. During her undergraduate years, Dr. Duimering explored her passion for teaching and science outreach working in rural communities across Vancouver Island. She continued her studies on the Island, receiving her M.D. at the University of British Columbia Island Medical Program.
At Queens University, Dr. Duimering completed her residency. During residency, her research focused on applying machine learning and motion analysis to surgery to create a feedback platform for learners.
Dr. Duimering appreciates being back home on the west coast and is looking forward to providing eye care to her community.
